Korean courses are oriented towards those overseas students who want to study Korean. Upon completion, the students will be able to use Korean language and have a better understanding of Korean culture. Foreigners who take up this course have played a fairly important role in making Korea known to the world. Upon completion, the students who want to engage in further study may be admitted to regular universities to study relevant courses. Regular Korean lessons mostly feature four semesters in an academic year (spring, summer, autumn and winter) with 10 weeks each. The teaching period normally features five days a week and four hours a day (9:00 am through 1:00 pm).
The students are divided into classes of different levels according to their scores in the preliminary exam taken at the beginning of each semester.
